Exactly 5 years ago KRUK SA, Poland’s largest receivables management company started its activity in Wałbrzych.  At the beginning, it employed only 30 telephone collectors. Today, more than 250 employees annually handle several million phone calls with debtors all over Poland.

The first dunning calls were made from Wałbrzych to debtors across Poland at the beginning of July 2005. The branch was established to serve as a backup centre for the company’s head office in Wrocław. Originally, it employed 30 telephone collectors and two team leaders supported by a co-ordinator, manager and an IT unit composed of two people.

“With time, the role of the Wałbrzych branch was growing,” remembers Piotr Krupa, KRUK SA CEO. „After one year, the number of telephone collectors tripled and last year the branch became our principal contact centre. Every day, more than 200 telephone collectors make nearly 25 thousand calls with debtors all over Poland. The Contact Center in Szczawno-Zdrój handles several million calls per year!”

The company’s development in Wałbrzych was so dynamic that last year a decision to move offices was made. In October 2009 KRUK moved to a new facility in Szczawno-Zdrój (within the Lower Silesian Technology Park). Office relocation stimulated further growth of the company. Today, the KRUK SA branch in Szczawno-Zdrój not only handles contacts with debtors but also trade negotiations with the existing and prospective clients.

“Even I am surprised at the rate of our growth. It is possible that soon our Szczawno-Zdrój branch will have the same number of employees as the KRUK head office in Wrocław, i.e. nearly 500. We are also planning the development of new projects and expansion into new markets which will certainly have an impact on the development of our branch,” added Krupa.
