The new, already second part of the nationwide campaign launched by the KRUK Group will be broadcast by Poland's major TV stations. The company's message is targeted to people with debts. The spot shows the consequences of registration in the ERIF Register of Debtors. It also includes advice on what to do if one’s debt is already registered in a credit information bureau.
KRUK's latest TV campaign is an integral part of the Our Debts project - Poland's largest educational campaign whose aim is to make Poles aware of the problems connected with excessive debt. Already since September 2009 the KRUK Group has been informing Poles about the consequences of non-payment of debts and first of all teaching how to take initiative and actively manage one's debts.
"We have been showing Poles that the debt problem can be solved," says Iwona Słomska, Member of the Board of KRUK SA. "An unpaid debt creates a difficult situation which may occur in the life of every one of us. Its consequence is registration in the register of debtors which often leads to exclusion from the credit market and business trade. Persons registered in the register of debtors will be refused hire purchase agreements, loans and all kinds of subscription-based services. Consumers whose debt is registered in the register of debtors lose their financial credibility. The best solution in such situations is to actively face the problem. The goal of our message is to persuade an average Pole that it is worth taking things into your own hands and starting action to resolve the problem."
“If you are not sure whether you have been registered with the ERIF Register of Debtors, you may check it at infoKonsument.pl. If the website includes details of your debt the best thing you can do is pick up the phone and call 71 8888 000. KRUK's negotiators will help you find an optimum solution that best suits your current financial capabilities", adds Iwona Słomska. “The spot is targeted not only to all people with debts but also to those whose may face such a problem in the future. When they find themselves in a debt situation they will know how to behave and instead of withdrawing and giving in to fear, they will take constructive action.”
The goal of the latest TV campaign of KRUK SA is to prepare Poles for the nationwide Day Without Debts which will be celebrated already on 17 November. Its originators hope that the Day Without Debts will inspire people to incur debts in a responsible manner and to look for advice on how to effectively get out of the debt trap.
Viewers will be able to watch KRUK’s 30-minute spots in the period from 13 October to 10 November on Polish national TV stations, as well as on TVN, TVN 7, Polsat, TV4 and in thematic channels.
The first stage of the campaign started on 2 February 2010 and lasted until the end of June. As a result of the above first stage of the campaign, debtors who had avoided contacts until then more and more frequently called to resolve their debts and signed agreements to repay their debts in instalments.
